Big Brothers

Anytime there is change in your family, it's hard to know what to expect with kids. Travis and I talked a lot about how we expected the boys to react once Charlee joined our family and I think it's safe to say that we are both shocked with how well they have adjusted.

My parents brought the boys over to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon.

Peyton wanted to hold her and see her for about one minute and then all the hype was over for him.

Colson on the other hand, didn't want to share. He loved holding her.

My biggest and my littlest!

Peyton didn't have a care in the world what was going on in that hospital room until Grandma Jo was holding Charlee and then he was concerned. He isn't about to share Jo!!!

We came home and Colson was still fighting for all the time with his sister. He loves to hold her and asks to about a dozen times throughout the day. We have to tell him to stop kissing on her and get out of her face. Leave her alone. Stop touching her. The kid loves her!

Peyton wants to hold her too. However, it normally only lasts for less than a minute.

Our first morning home and immediately checking on sister.

Peyton has been a great helper with diaper changes and getting things for us that we need. I have him get her pacifier, burp cloth, and things like that. He loves helping in those ways with his sister.

He held her for record time on this day because I told Colson he could hold her as soon as Peyton was done. Peyton didn't want to give her up to big brother! 😂

I would say that Colson is my BIG helper. He can hold her bottle, get things for me, help sooth her while we are in the car, and things like that. He is genuinely concerned about her all the time.

Overall, both boys have adjusted great to the addition of Charlee! We are still trying to figure it all out but we are two weeks in and I couldn't ask for better brothers!
