Weekend Recap

Anyone else feel like today is the first day of the new year? It's Monday, every new year should start on Monday. This past weekend didn't end up as planned and that's okay. It ended up being slow paced and a lot of time spent at home.

We had plans to go tubing for Travis's birthday on Friday but Peyton came down with a cold so instead, he and I spent our day like this. This boy wants his Mama to snuggle when he doesn't feel good so I also got in a little nap!

Continued by a snuggle session in Mom and Dad's bed before calling it a night!

On Saturday, Travis turned 42 so we celebrated with banana pudding and his finger steaks and fries!

These two kept me company while I worked out! Thankfully Peyton was doing much better!

We had the pleasure of playing LCR with a princess, who won all of our money!

We finally had to do all the things to get ready for school to start back up. Colson has one more day of break but the little two head back today!

We ended our weekend with Peyton reading to me!

I hope you had a great weekend!

Weekend Recap

 Happy Monday, friends!!!

We started our weekend off with back to school shopping! These kids are ready!

We also met some of our favorite people for hibachi, which is our family's favorite!

The boys tried out a dangerous new trick and I quickly stopped them because I didn't want to go to the ER! I mean, what could go wrong, pulling a wagon down the lane on the bike! Especially without helmets

We played a lot of games!

The boys and I went to church!

We had some coffee runs...

On Sunday, we had extra kids in the house. I love when we have extras, they don't spend time on electronics and are kids! Board games were played, bikes were rode, and they ran through sprinklers. It was great! My floors are dirty, they ate a lot of food, and I wouldn't change it!

We also watched the olympics as much as possible!

This was our last weekend with zero plans. This time of year is crazy busy and trying to get back into schedules is tough. We're headed out of town this weekend and I can't wait!

Weekend Top FIVE

Happy Monday, friends. I hope you had a great weekend. We did, but have very few pictures to show for it so this post is short and sweet!

Friday night we went on a double date for our friend's birthday and this was the only picture I have! I love this dress so much from The Sunshine Haven! It's so comfortable and the perfect summer dress.

Saturday morning we headed down to the car show. The kids loved looking at the cars.

We took amazing naps!

These three joined me for church! It was the first time in a long time that all four of us have been.

I went to an estate sale and found this sewing kit that is in great condition. I love it because it is the same one my grandma has. That makes it so special to me!!!!

I hope you have a great week!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday, friends! I hope you've had a great weekend. Ours was extra special because this boy is finally home! He returned on Saturday and we couldn't be happier. We picked him up from the airport!

Charlee Jo had a sleepover with Nana and Papa. She loves having morning coffee with Nana!

Colson was tired! He had to get up really early to catch his flight in Tennessee and then I think the last weeks caught up to him. He did a lot of this over the weekend...

We have a corn field behind the house and these were our visitors over the weekend!

Peyton spent the weekend with his buddy in Cascade. They went camping and had so much fun. They stay right on the river so they get to play and ride bikes through camp. It's the best time for him.

He loves to fish and spent most of the weekend fishing!

I hope you had a great weekend. We're having another low key week over here and enjoying time with Colson now that he's home!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday, friends! We had a great weekend, here's some of the highlights!

First off, I'd like to say happy anniversary to Travis! We've been married nine years. I know it sounds cliche to say but I really do love him more today than I did nine years ago. We've grown so much as a couple and a family.

On Friday, we had a very calm morning. Thursday night was late and the kids were feeling it. Charlee woke up around six but then fell back asleep until about 9:30. Peyton didn't appear until 10:30.

I took advantage of the quiet to do some training for the upcoming school year.

Around noon, Grandma B came and Charlee decided she wanted to go to Cascade for the weekend with her. She packed a bag and had an impromptu trip to the cabin!

I've gotten a couple pictures from Grandma but I haven't heard much from Charlee. She's having the best time! Puzzles, watering flowers, and doing the dishes. Such a helper!

Peyton and I have enjoyed the one on one time also. This kid loves quality time so we took full advantage this weekend.....

Dad took us out golfing Saturday!

Peyton's favorite place to sleep when he's an only child is next to Travis on the floor so this has been his bed sine Friday!

On Sunday, we went to church after what feels like forever. With traveling, sickness, and being overly busy, we have missed church and it felt so good to be back.

Our kids love Izumi's so we treated Peyton to lunch on Sunday!

I finally talked to this kid on Sunday! He's having so much fun in Tennessee. I don't think he misses home much, just his family. They are enjoying being outside on the lake and didn't take any electronics with them. I love getting all the pictures of him trying new things!

I hope you had a great weekend. We have a very low key week ahead of us and I'm looking forward to it!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. Ours turned out to be busier than anticipated but it was fun! Baseball starts soon so I'm not sure how many more free weekends we're going to have.

Charlee and I started our weekend with take out and lunch with friends. This is the one and only picture I took which only means one thing...it was a good afternoon. We had the best time catching up.

On Friday night I volunteered at the boys' school for literacy night. I love being able to connect with other moms and help the staff.

Saturday morning looked like this. We had breakfast and then these three watched Robin Hood.

We quickly got ready and went to watch Hallie, my niece, play basketball. She did great!

Peyton was GiGi's date to the BSU basketball game. They went with my brother and his wife. My mom was able to get tickets through her work and it was so fun that he was able to go!

I went to church solo on Sunday. I truly love this place.

Then I grabbed some groceries for the week. I don't normally shop at Trader Joe's but I love coming once in awhile. Their flowers are always so beautiful!

I picked up Colson after he spent the weekend with his friend and his Mama sent me home with a warm cup of tea in a University of Tennessee mug in the snow. I'm really loving Colson's dream of going to TN for college.

Daisy made a complete mess of my floors this weekend. Between the snow and the dirt in the flower pots...my floors don't stand a chance. At least she's really cute!

The rest of the day was spent getting ready for our week with a treat break!

I hope you had a great weekend!
