Happy Monday! Last week was challenging for me. Between getting hit with a summer cold and having a class all week, I felt like I let a lot of things fall. My blog being one of them. I'm happy to report that I'm doing better and I'm back... This weekend was the beginning of summer baseball for us. It was busy going from one game to the next.
I had my last class on Friday, so I missed Colson's game and he had such a great game. He through a kid out at second while catching. He was on fire!
He also had great at bats. He had a homerun! I'm so bummed I missed it but I'm glad Travis and Grandma Jo were there to see it!
They won both of their games on Friday and they played again Saturday.
He had another great game on Saturday. The bats were doing their job for the team and they won 26-4.
We made it home just in time for the parade. Peyton was asked to ride on a float and help pass out candy. The cutest bee!
His best friend's dad is our eye doctor and they put together the cutest float!
Then sister got to ride in the firetruck with Uncle Daniel! She loved it!
As soon as the parade was over, I came home and poured myself a glass of wine and read a couple chapters of my book. I want to finish it so bad but probably should do things on my to-do list.
Sunday was back at the ballpark. Our game didn't end well. Colson struggled. Overall, it wasn't a great day or game. Unfortunately, our Father's Day wasn't anything we hoped it would be. If only we could have a do-over...
I hope you had a great weekend!
