North Pole Breakfast

Mikey the Elf made his return on Sunday morning and just like always, he came bearing breakfast!

I look forward to this breakfast all year. I love how excited the kids get. I try and be creative and over the top to make it special for them!

I honestly don’t know how many years I gave before Colson learns the truth behind all the Christmas magic so I’m just going to make the most of the time I have.

I picked up some colorful trees at Walmart and that’s what started my theme this year. I found some colorful ornaments at Hobby Lobby, and the felt garland is from Trader Joe’s. The kids will use the decorations on their trees!

Mikey brought mini donuts, strawberries, yogurt with sprinkles, and hot chocolate! The food is kept simple because my kids wake up so early…

Mikey wrote a note to the kids. He made sure they understand he can’t be touched. He travels back and forth nightly, and told them he’s really looking for bad attitudes and lying. A couple behaviors we’re really working on right now in our house!

Mikey always brings matching jammies! This year he forgot Mom and Dad and the kids were so disappointed. I think it’s funny what kids care about. But these Santa jammies are my favorite! I love that they had different styles so Colson could have a more “grown up” style.

The kids also receive their ornament. This year I bought these gloves from Anthropology and love them so much!

It was a special morning and a great way to kick off the holiday season. I told Travis this weekend I was struggling to get into the holiday spirit but seeing how excited my kids got definitely helped!

Happy Tuesday, friends!
