Weekend Recap: Denver Edition

Happy Monday, friends! This past weekend Travis and I snuck away together to visit our favorite city!

Our original anniversary vacation got canceled and so we made last minute plans. It was the best decision!

The kids left on Friday night so I rode along with Travis in the fuel truck to make some deliveries. The perfect start to our weekend together!

Hi Denver!

We dropped off our bags and hit the town! There are so many fun places in Denver but this little roof top bar is one of our favorite spots!

The cutest alley….

Game time!

It was night game so the weather was perfect and the sky was beautiful!

These next two pictures are from the Rockies Facebook page. It was a fireworks game and it’s the most amazing fireworks show I’ve ever seen!

Day two! We found another outdoor patio to enjoy drinks before heading to the stadium.

Best looking bar tender I’ve ever seen. 😉

We made it to the third deck and I must say, the view is incredible! I don’t think there’s a bad seat in the park!

Travis has been trying to get a hot dog from Biker Jim’s for the last five games, he finally got one and wasn’t too impressed! But he can check that off the list!

It rained for about ten minutes during the game. Most of the fans went for cover but not us! The game was still being played and we weren’t afraid of getting wet!

The two games we attended were both close, but the Rockies won both! They managed to win the series. I enjoy watching games no matter what, but it’s a lot more fun when they win!

Travis made reservations so we could celebrate our anniversary and dinner was amazing! We ate at Denver Chophouse and Brewery. I highly recommend it!

Monday morning was early! We landed in Boise before 10 and couldn’t wait to hug our kiddos!

Our kids made it home dirty and extremely happy after a weekend with Papa Kim and Jo’s!

We all ate dinner and then watched the games we just watched in Denver. The kids think it’s so cool to see Mom and Dad on TV. And I was really enjoying those nachos…

We finished our weekend with ice cream on the front porch!
This weekend was perfect. We missed our kiddos so much but I love the uninterrupted time for Travis and I.

Okay, I wanted to share some great pictures from the kids’ weekend too because they had the best time!!!

So thankful for my amazing in-laws. They made it possible for us to sneak away for a couple days!

I hope you had a wonderful 4th weekend!
