Vegas // Arizona

Happy Wednesday, friends! A couple weeks ago Travis and I went to Las Vegas and Arizona. Travis had a conference for work in Vegas and we made a vacation out of it.

I say this all the time, but he's my favorite travel buddy!

We checked into our hotel and headed out to explore. We went to the Venetian and rode on the gondola. It was a great little ride.

Next up, Black Bar Las Vegas. If you're going to Vegas....GO HAVE A MILK SHAKE! This was probably the best thing I ate all week! We shared but I'm pretty sure I ate most of it! So good!

We went to the Stratosphere and checked out the sights. It is higher than the Space Needle in Seattle.
We rode "the big shot" and I wouldn't recommend it if you're afraid of heights. You get shot 160 feet in the air at 45 miles per hour. I cried, like full on tears running down my face.

Just to prove that we did actually attend the conference. :)

We saw our FAVORITE Frozen character!

My favorite activity was Top Golf! We spent two hours and could have stayed longer. It was so much fun. The food was great. And it was off the busy strip.

These donuts were amazing! You filled them with the flavor of your choice.

We each had some success....

On Wednesday we walked the strip and went to New York New York where I successfully rode my first roller coaster. I had no idea what was going on and was terrified once again.
However, it was so much fun!

We managed to see a show and chose Criss Angel. He was amazing! We both really enjoyed the entire show. I left very confused and wanted to know how he performed all his "tricks".

We were so excited to leave! Haha, we saw it and don't have any plans on going back anytime soon.

On our way south, we stopped at Hoover Dam. It was incredible.

We took the Dam tour and spent four hours at the dam.

Arizona sunsets are spectacular!

Of course we showed up to GG's just in time for coconut cake and dinner. She took care of us while we were there.

I'm so grateful that my husband took me to spend a few days with these special grandparents.

On Saturday we had plans to attend a Rockies spring training game. However, they cancelled all the games that day due to rain. It rained hard! We decided to make the most of our day and drove around to explore. We wanted to see the field, so we headed to Scottsdale.

Enjoying the rainy day with my husband.

We happened to stumble across the USS Arizona Memorial that is at the stadium. It was the first day it was open to the public. I'm so glad we toured it.

We left Arizona and all the amazing cacti, we both loved the cacti, and made it home to our kiddos after seven days....

We had a great trip and were able to spend some time with my grandparents. However, my very favorite place to be is home with my family!
