A Day in the Life of Us {06/19/19}

It's a Day in the Life of Us...with a newborn!

Adding another baby to the family makes our schedule look so different! I love reading these posts on other blogs, so I thought I'd share what our days look like this summer. Last Wednesday, I documented our day. It was busier than a normal summer day but still revolved around Charlee.

Charlee was up at 6 for a bottle.

I got some coffee, made a bottle, and sat in the chair for her feeding.

She went back down so I had time to get ready for the day. A shower, make-up and hair!

Then, I got the boys dressed and ready for the day!

Breakfast for the boys was cereal and milk!

I knew it was going to be a crazy day so I put dinner in the slow cooker!

We went into wake sister up. Normally we let her sleep until around nine but we had to be in Eagle at nine so we had to wake her up.

While I fed Charlee, the boys read next to us. They are always close by!

Loaded up and headed to drop Colson off at VBS!

After dropping Colson off we stopped at Dutch Bros and Peyton and I have mutual feelings about it!

Nana has been asking me to bring Charlee to her office so we stopped by.

We still had some time before we needed to pick Colson up so we made a quick Walmart run! Petyon in the cart and I was wearing Charlee. That's how we do any store!

We have brother back!

Peyton fell asleep and I was able to transfer him into his bed without waking him. Then it was time to feed sister again! She eats at noon everyday so it was a little later than normal.

When I went in later to check on Peyton, he was awake and snuggling his lion!

We had a later lunch than normal since Peyton took an early nap.

Dishes and cleaning up the kitchen after lunch.

Then we had tummy time for sister. The boys wouldn't get out of her face!

I decided to organize this mess of a closet since everyone was playing and happy in Charlee's room.

Meanwhile...little miss fell asleep on the floor.

We moved the party into the hallway. Stacking cups and knocking them over on repeat!

Dinner was ready and we had a visitor stop by so Colson and Peyton ate dinner with Papa!

While they ate, I finished making a strawberry pie with strawberries that were going bad. I love having fruit but we never eat it all before it goes bad! I hate wasting food, so I made a pie!

Travis left to go golfing so I showered the boys, got them in their jammies, and let the watch a movie with popcorn in the living room while....

I cut and colored my aunt's hair!

While it processed, I finished up some laundry!

Everyone left, the boys went to bed, Charlee got ready for bed, and Travis got home.
Travis, Charlee, and I watched the Rockies game.

This was a late night but in bed by 11:00!

That's a day in the life of us!

What's Up Wednesday {06/26/19}

Happy Wednesday, friends! Linking up with Sheaffer and Shay today. I can't believe it's the last Wednesday of JUNE! The summer is going so fast!

Whatever I can grill on the bbq! With the weather being so nice, I love cooking outside it's even better when we can eat outside and don't have to make a mess in the kitchen at all!

(Also, I miss those curls!)

This seems like so long ago! We broke ground for our house in July of 2016! I was looking through some old pictures and came across this.

We're still loving on Charlee Jo over here. I can't believe she is 4 weeks old!

The boys have been playing outside whenever possible. They love to be outside. While they play, Charlee and I sit on the front porch and watch. We've been spending so much time outside.

When we haven't been able to be outside, I search for things to keep the boys busy. They have had so much fun stacking cups and then knocking them down.

Also, we started swimming lessons on Monday. The boys love being in the pool! Peyton cries during his actual lesson but hopefully by tomorrow he won't cry as long...

Also, three kids at swimming lessons stresses me out. Thankfully, Grandma Jo has joined us to help.

With a newborn, we already have a ton of doctor appointments and then we added a trip to the doctor for this boy's ears. We just finished up medication for his ear infection. I dread the thought of hauling all the kids to the doctor so hopefully we can make it through summer without anymore ear issues!

Colson and I are really working hard on his reading. He's headed into first grade this fall and I want him to be ready! I also want him to love reading, so we're working just a little each day!

The newborn pictures that I ordered for Charlee's nursery will be here today! I'm excited to get them hung and then I'll share her room on the blog!

I just finished Where the Crawdads Sing. It was such a great book. I enjoy an easy read that doesn't take me very long. I got sucked in and didn't want to put it down!!!

The boys do a fairly good job of playing together or independently but they also FIGHT LIKE BROTHERS! I was tired of listening to them fight one afternoon so I made them hug for two minutes. They stopped arguing for the day....

Charlee! I'm so thankful for my Solly wrap. She is fussy in the evenings, like most babies, but it makes it so hard to cook dinner or get anything done for that matter. I've worn her every night at some point, most of the time to cook dinner, just so she isn't screaming!

Nothing! I can't believe we don't have anything on our schedule for the weekend but I'm not complaining about it. Last weekend we went to Cascade and it was amazing, but I'm looking forward to hanging out at home with my family!

I love celebrating the 4th of July! We have plans to go to the parade, have a bbq, and wear all the red, white, and blue! Charlee Jo has enough red, white, and blue outfits for the entire month! I can't stop buying all the festive things!

Also, Travis and I will be celebrating four years of marriage next month. I told my mother-in-law I feel like we've been married for more like ten years! (In the best way possible!) We've done so much together in the four years we've been together. He truly is my best friend and I can't wait to celebrate!

All the shopping for a little girl! It's so much fun. I'm still in awe of all the bows, pink, and dresses that we have in our home now! I found an adorable shop on Instagram for dresses.

Happy Wednesday, friends!!!
