Spring Favorites

Hey, hey Tuesday!

I am becoming a big fan of spring. I've always said that fall is my favorite season, but spring is closely behind. I love the colors and new life.

With all of the spring flowers and baseball, how can I not be in love with spring!

I thought I'd share my favorite things to keep on hand for spring. These are things that I use daily or at least several times a week.

Some of my favorite sunglasses come from Quay. They are always running a sale, they are a great price point, and they fit great!

I've used this sunless tanner for years and I love the color it gives and it's full of clean ingredients. I use both the body and face lotions and I've never had issues!

These are currently my favorite pair of Birkenstocks but I also have my eye one these....I wear them almost daily. They are perfect for running around chasing kids or going to baseball games.

I joined the belt bag club a couple years ago and they make my life so much easier! Hands free with three kids is the best. I love that they are small, but still fit everything I need.

The best bag to carry to the pool, baseball games, school, basically everywhere! I love my Bogg Bags. I have plenty but also love all the colors and can you really have too many?!

I am terrible about applying sun screen but I do love Supergoop. I love that you can get it with a pump to make it easier to apply all the kids.

I love my bright watch band for spring! It just makes me happy. Changing out something so simple can add some color to your wardrobe! I love the yellow!

Okay, the last thing that I actually wear year round, is my face sunscreen! It's so important and I love this brand because it goes on clear and doesn't feel heavy or greasy at all.

What is your must have item for spring?

Day in the Life: Spring Break Edition

Since spring break has ended, I feel like we've been so busy. With spring sports and the nice weather, our schedules haven't been empty. I love the fast pace and busyness.

Here's a look at one day during spring break. A Wednesday, to be exact...

Up bright and early, even on spring break!

Made it to the gym for the 5 am class.

Home at 6:15 for coffee and load my diffuser full of oils for the day.

And then it's my quiet time. I spend about 45 minutes reading my bible, doing my bible study, and sometimes reading another book that goes along with my study. I always have a friend...

Showered and ready for the day before 8:30.

First stop...making my bed and opening my blinds!

The kids were playing and I was...

making breakfast. I loved being able to make a hot breakfast during spring break.

We sit and eat breakfast and go through a children's devotional book, work on prayer memorization, and read a story from the children's bible.

Next up...chores for the kids!

While they did their  chores, I secretly packed our bags for the night.

The kids played outside while I did some laundry.

And I listened to a podcast.

Off to run some errands....

A stop at the eye doctor for some new frames for Peyton...

the car wash....

We had lunch with our family, just like every Wednesday. I forgot to take pictures....

After that I told the kids we needed to run to Target but surprised them with a hotel instead!

We checked in and changed into swimming suits...

And quickly made our way to the pool!

We swam for a couple hours before they were starving!

Sister fell asleep while we were waiting for our table at Texas Roadhouse....

We had the best dinner together!

Grabbed ice cream on the way back to the hotel!

We changed back into our swimming suits and went back to the pool for a late night swim!

The kids were so tired. We went and got ready for bed and sister and I painted our nails...

And watched Dude Perfect on TV!

We called it a night just before ten, and we were all so tired!

This was obviously not a normal day. We tried to have a few fun experiences over spring break to make things fun and different! I will say the best thing I did during spring break was take all social media off of my phone. I was so present and had the best time with my family!

I hope you had a great spring break with your family. Now, only a couple months before SUMMER!

Spring Touches

This past weekend felt like the perfect time to pull out all of our Easter and spring decorations. Now our home is officially ready for spring!!

I always pull out my favorite quilt from my Great-Grandmother. It’s so colorful, which is perfect for this time of year. Also, I finally hung the pictures of the kids in the entryway!

A look into the living room.

I keep things very simple this time of year. If I’m being honest, Christmas is the only time of year I like a lot of decorations. Any other time of year, it’s too much!

A couple spring things on the shelves and Easter books in the basket on fireplace.

The sofa table has some bunnies that I’ve found at TJ Maxxz along with a Vine and Branches sign and my favorite egg decorating picture from 7 years ago.

This year, I added a lot more color and fun to the chalkboard. I also added the banners that I normally hang from the mantle.

The kitchen has a few spring touches…

I took out the china and added some color.

My favorite dish towels…

And a fun tulip print that I found on Etsy!

I love changing things in our home for the seasons.
Happy spring, friends!
