BSU Football Camp

We have two very happy football players in our house this week. This is Colson's second year to attend the Boise State Football camp and Peyton's first year. Peyton decided he wanted to try playing football this year so we signed both boys up for camp. This is a three day camp at BSU and the boys had so much fun.

The football players are coaching the boys. They are divided into three categories, prep, college, NFL.

Peyton was on a prep team. He learned basic fundamentals.

He had a wonderful coach and he loved all the drills. He didn't love playing Bronco ball at the end of the day but had fun.

The boys played on the Blue, inside the practice facility, and then out on the grass field.

Colson was on a college team. He was in more competitive competition.

Both of the boys preferred the drills and learning.

This is something the boys want to continue to do! I'm excited we have something close that allows them to go and meet new friends and learn new skills.

I was able to get more pictures of Peyton because he wore clothes that I could easily spot him. He also isn't too cool for his mom, just yet. ;)

Colson really enjoyed his coach also. I got one picture and his eyes are closed...sigh.

On the last day of camp, the players will sign anything for the boys.

Peyton with his coach.

They had their little sister there to cheer them on as well.

So proud of these boys!

And very thankful for a hard working dad that makes things like this possible!

Worn out and very happy....

They are already looking forward to next year!

Weekend Recap: Denver Edition

Happy Monday, friends! This past weekend Travis and I snuck away together to visit our favorite city!

Our original anniversary vacation got canceled and so we made last minute plans. It was the best decision!

The kids left on Friday night so I rode along with Travis in the fuel truck to make some deliveries. The perfect start to our weekend together!

Hi Denver!

We dropped off our bags and hit the town! There are so many fun places in Denver but this little roof top bar is one of our favorite spots!

The cutest alley….

Game time!

It was night game so the weather was perfect and the sky was beautiful!

These next two pictures are from the Rockies Facebook page. It was a fireworks game and it’s the most amazing fireworks show I’ve ever seen!

Day two! We found another outdoor patio to enjoy drinks before heading to the stadium.

Best looking bar tender I’ve ever seen. 😉

We made it to the third deck and I must say, the view is incredible! I don’t think there’s a bad seat in the park!

Travis has been trying to get a hot dog from Biker Jim’s for the last five games, he finally got one and wasn’t too impressed! But he can check that off the list!

It rained for about ten minutes during the game. Most of the fans went for cover but not us! The game was still being played and we weren’t afraid of getting wet!

The two games we attended were both close, but the Rockies won both! They managed to win the series. I enjoy watching games no matter what, but it’s a lot more fun when they win!

Travis made reservations so we could celebrate our anniversary and dinner was amazing! We ate at Denver Chophouse and Brewery. I highly recommend it!

Monday morning was early! We landed in Boise before 10 and couldn’t wait to hug our kiddos!

Our kids made it home dirty and extremely happy after a weekend with Papa Kim and Jo’s!

We all ate dinner and then watched the games we just watched in Denver. The kids think it’s so cool to see Mom and Dad on TV. And I was really enjoying those nachos…

We finished our weekend with ice cream on the front porch!
This weekend was perfect. We missed our kiddos so much but I love the uninterrupted time for Travis and I.

Okay, I wanted to share some great pictures from the kids’ weekend too because they had the best time!!!

So thankful for my amazing in-laws. They made it possible for us to sneak away for a couple days!

I hope you had a wonderful 4th weekend!

Spring Vacations

After a long year of no traveling, we finally went on vacation! We had several plans that were canceled last year due to C****, just like everyone else. It was nice to get back in the air and travel!

In April, we headed to Denver to watch the Rockies play in a three game series. This time we went with some friends and had the best time!

It felt so good to be back in a ballpark!

Good seats, good company, and a great game!

The Rockies won with a home run! The energy was great!

Day two! The weather wasn’t great but it wasn’t snowing or raining so I was happy!

We always go early to watch batting practice.

Day three and the final day! The sun came out and it was warm!

My favorite travel partner!

My favorite place to sit at the game. Behind the dugout and close to the action!

We went directly from the game to the airport to catch our flight home.

It was a quick three days but we had the best time.

In May, we boarded another flight and headed to Vegas.

Travis was asked to play in the National Bowling tournament and he had a great time.

The second night we were there we went out after everyone was done bowling.
We headed to Top Golf and had dinner with drinks!

We walked the strip and stayed up way too late!

It was a very quick trip to Vegas but so fun!
Now, the countdown is on for the next get away...
