January 2024 Amazon Favorites

New year, new Amazon favorites! I feel like all my Amazon orders this month are in theme for the new year, books and exercise! Here are my favorites...

Love & Respect: I'm taking my time with this book. I read a few pages at night and I'm loving it. I will review it when I finish it but I already recommend this book!

Overnight Oats Jars: I hoped on the overnight oat train and I love them. I ordered these jars so I can make ahead several days of oats and they are perfect! These are a great size and a great price.

My Jesus: Anne Wilson is one of my very favorite artists to listen to and so when I saw she had a book I instantly ordered it. Again, I haven't read it but I will leave a review once I do!

Weighted Vest: My vest weighs 12 pounds and it's the perfect addition to dog walks and light chores around the house.

Protein Chips: I'm working hard to up my protein intake this year. Overall, I'm working on what I'm putting into my body and chips are my favorite snack so finding these made me so happy! I have them on auto ship so I can eat a bag everyday!

Truly Simple: I didn't realize that Kristin had cookbooks so my friend told me about them and I grabbed them. This has some great recipes in it! I can't wait to make a few and try them. The ingredients are simple and nothing fancy. I'm very excited about this!

Screen Protectors: I should probably have these on auto ship also. I'm always breaking my phone screen. I love having these on hand so that I can quickly change it out if mine breaks. For the price, you can't beat it!

True Roots : Again with Kristin....this is her first cookbook and I think it has several recipes that look great! If you're only going to grab one, I would get Truly Simple.

Exercise Bands: And because these kill my legs every time my trainer makes me use them, I grabbed some from home to do at home exercises with. When my legs are burning, I know it's worth it!

Happy shopping!

What's Up Wednesday {January 2025}

 Happy What's Up Wednesday!

I'm sharing a little bit of this and that going on at the Webb house...

Technically this isn't eating but let me tell you, my favorite way to get 42 grams of protein first thing in the morning is a Fairlife strawberry shake! I usually have one while taking all the kids to school. It's quick and fills me up.

January is when I always think back to when my boys were babies! This month they turned 12 and 8. I'm not sure how. Time truly is a thief!

I mean...I remember thinking they were big when I took these pictures!

Drinking coffee out of all the cute Valentine's Day mugs! Seasonal mugs are my very favorite!!!

Celebrating all the birthdays around here!

I'm having a CT scan next week for my sinus issues and I'm dreading it and also hoping we can get answers as to why I have so many sinus infections.

We recently got an epoxy on our garage floors and I'm excited to get my garage back in order! I haven't been able to use the garage this week but it's going to be nice when it's done!

If you missed yesterday's book review, you can read it here!

Anne Wilson is one of my favorite artists to listen to while I'm doing housework or computer work.

I've been loving my Valentine pajamas and the price couldn't be better!

It's the annual Jayden DeLuca Gala so Travis and I will be getting all dressed up to help support our friends! It's a fancy night out on the town...

Valentine's Day! I think we have a quiet month other than that!

And that wraps up this month's what's up Wednesday!

January 2025 Book Review

Happy Tuesday, friends! I started off January reading finishing four books, which I think is four more than I read last year. I was terrible at reading last year. This year, I have been going on walks in the mornings after I drop the kids off at school so I did listen to two of the four books.

Let's dive in starting with...

Book #1:

Pictures of You by Emma Grey

This is a story about Evie Hudson. She wakes up in a hospital room and believes she's a teenager that was at a party with her best friend. She quickly learns that she was in an accident with her husband who didn't survive. Evie doesn't remember her husband or know anything about her current life. She has suffered traumatic loss of memory and must connect the dots of her life. She "meets" and man named Drew that helps her but later finds out, they've always had a connection. This is a story full of second chances.

Book #2:

The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren

This is the second book I've ready by Christina Lauren. I thought it had a really cute plot and I will say the ending surprised me. There wasn't a lot of character development but there was a LOT of sexual content. It takes place on a private island in Indonesia which only made me want to be on an island! The couple needed to pretend to be married for two weeks but with a lot of family drama, that was a difficult task. Overall, it was cute and easy to read. Not my favorite of the month.

Book #3:
Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid

I've read several books written by Taylor Jenkins Reid and I've enjoyed every single one. This one is no different.
This book is about a fictional, former world champion tennis player. She's been retired for a decade when she decides to go back out on the court. This book holds your attention, pulls at your heart, and has you cheering for players both on and off the court. I don't know much about tennis but I learned a lot because of all the details Taylor incorporated into the book.

Book #4:

After I Do by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Another Taylor Jenkins Reid book! I think this book is more relatable to people than I thought. When Lauren and Ryan are about to give up on their marriage, they decide to give an unconventional play a try. They take a year apart and hope they fall in love with each other again. There is only one rule, no communication with each other. Everything else goes. (That makes me nauseous.) This story talks about when love fades, staying in love, and committing to love.

Birthday Celebrations

January is full of birthdays at our house! We start celebrating on January 4th with Travis and we don't stop until Colson's birthday on the 16th! It's busy and crazy tiring but I love it.

Travis also requests finger steaks and fries and this year, banana pudding! It's simple but we can't let the day go without celebrating him in some way!

On January 12th, this boy went to bed as a seven year old....

and woke up EIGHT on January 13th! He got to eat a donut for breakfast before heading to school for the day.

Peyton's best friend is in Hawaii but they got to FaceTime and it was the best! Made my birthday boy very happy!

I know that this will surprise no one but Peyton also requests finger steaks and fries for his dinner! My Mom's birthday is on January 13th also so she also gets this meal for the foreseeable future!

Peyton also requested an ice cream Sunday bar! So we had ice cream with all the toppings you could think of. The boys loved it!

Candles in ice cream doesn't work too great but we had to sing!

Since Colson's birthday is three days later, we also celebrated him with family! Another birthday song!

On Thursday, Colson invited two friends and we went to dinner to celebrate!

The restaurant was full of people celebrating birthdays and it's such a fun place to do it! They make it so much fun and interacting.

Frozen yogurt before heading home and letting these boys play Fortnite for the majority of the night!

On Saturday, Peyton invited three friends over for his party! Like I mentioned, his best friend was out of town so we waited until he could make it!

Nothing fancy, just some Legos, pizza, and ice cream!

The boys built Legos that Peyton carefully picked out for each of his friends. He put a lot of thought into it. And once the boys built the Legos, they played.

I'm so thankful that my boys have such great friends. If possible, they would invite everyone but we think it's important to keep things small. It gets so overwhelming and having a winter birthday can be hard. But they both had great days celebrating them!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! It's been a very busy week over here. Lots of birthday celebrations! We've had a great week and here are some favorites...

This girl is spoiled but we can't help it! She loves going in the car but I don't like that she scratches the center console in my car. So, I found this adorable bed that hooks into the car and "seatbelts" her on it. Now, she stays on the bed and it's high enough that she can see out! It's a win for both of us.

The bed is also on sale right now too!

Colson has been attending catching clinic for several months now and he's loving it! He is falling in love with baseball again and it makes me so happy. Last summer, he took off the summer from playing and he admitted that he missed it. This year, he is playing on a select team and he's thriving! It is very time consuming but it's really making him a better player. It's also helping to shape him into a good person, I love that sports help kids learn so many lessons that will help them throughout their lives.

I was able to substitute this week at the kid's elementary school. I sure love being in the school and watching all their friendships. It's such a blessing!

It's been a busy week celebrating some of my favorite people and that includes Kacie! We went to dinner at a new to me restaurant and it was so good! I love celebrating the people I love!

Peyton's favorite person in the world is his Dad. So copying every move he makes is one of his favorite things to do! It makes my heart heart happy and I hope he always looks at his Dad this way!

I hope you've had a great week!
