Christmas Decor

I love to start off December 1st with sharing my Christmas decorations and this year, I just wasn't prepared enough to share. I actually started decorating before Thanksgiving this year but with life, it's taken until now to share our home decorated for the holidays.

I decided to keep things more simple this year and I love it. I didn't put up as many trees or put as many ornaments on the trees as normal. I love that I still have all the twinkle lights, but I don't feel like Christmas has overtaken my home.

I really love how the mantle turned out. I used garland that I've had to layer the Christmas garland that I always put up and I love it!

I also added a bell garland.

The stockings are the same. I ordered them from Amazon a couple years ago and still love the simple white. I also switched out the books for our Christmas books.

I always change out the pictures on the built ins for Santa pictures. Looking through the years is my favorite. I'm not sure what I'm going to do in a few years once I run out of room...

My parents brought us this nativity from Germany. I love bringing it out at Christmas.

I loved this nativity and added it to the built ins.

Some Christmas pillows added to the couch...

The perfect snowman pillow from my in-laws!

The biggest change this year is the main tree. I usually decorate this with brown and gold tones but this year, I only added the deco mesh and our family ornaments. I love that each ornament on the tree has meaning behind it. It isn't full, but hopefully, over the years, it will be full.

There are homemade ornaments...

Ornaments that we've collected from traveling..

Ornaments that represent our kiddos through the years.

I love each one of them.

The dinning room looks about the same. I decided to leave the table simple. That way there's room for a puzzle, dinner, and games.

We added the Giving Manger this year. I love the meaning behind it.

I decorated the tree in red and silver. Along with the ginger breads.

This little nativity is so sweet.

The small ginger bread tree...

On the bottom shelf on the sofa table, I added the cutest nativity that a friend made. I also put out our Christmas cards from years past that we've received from family and friends. The kids love looking through them.

Some of my favorite trees on the top.

The kitchen is always busy so I kept it simple as well.

My favorite tea towels.

Drinking out of Christmas mugs are my favorite. So are those mistletoes...

A stack of Christmas plates...

My favorite little treat jar.

These windows are my favorite part of the kitchen. I love the Christmas star.

I love this view.

I added some festive touches to the little bathroom. I found this sign at a small business and it matched the Christmas towel that I picked up in Nashville last night. I thought it was perfect.

The boys love it because Home Alone is one of their favorite Christmas movies.

I put a tree in the mud room and our Christmas countdown that Colson loves to change!

The entry way has some added Christmas touches also.

One of my favorite decorations. A snowman the height of Colson when he was four.

And there you go! Christmas at our house!

Happy Tuesday, friends!
