A Few Spring Touches

This year Easter was so early that taking all the decorations down felt weird. I wanted to keep a few things up to make our house feel more like spring. For starters, our view! Look at all that grass coming up!!! I love this view so much!

I kept the hello spring banner up on the mantle along with the mason jars filled with paper flowers.

I picked up the succulents at Pier 1 several months ago. I scattered them around the house. On the console table, I put out some tulips that I picked up from the grocery store for some color. Fresh flowers in my house are my FAVORITE, I just can't seem to keep them alive very long.

I put this galvanized tiered stand on the table with a bright candle, fun spring napkins, and some fake greenery. I'd love some ferns and almost picked up a couple from Home Depot this weekend but talked myself out of them. When we first moved in, I had one and killed it shortly after!

I changed the chalkboard from the bunny to a floral globe.

And I kept the same things on top of the bar!

For the entryway, I found some new pillows at Target. I love the new Opal House line. I also washed my mom's yo-yo quilt and instead of giving it back to her, I put it on the back.

It was my great-grandmother's but all of the bright colors are perfect for spring!

I also switched out our bedding to lighten things up a bit in our room.

I'm already planning how to decorate with some red, white, and blue for Memorial Day. I think we can keep it out all summer long! It's hard to believe that next week will be May, but I'm really looking forward to summer!

Happy Tuesday, friends!
